Mortise and Tenon Construction
The gold standard of woodworking. We utilize mortise and tenon joints for our table frames, bed posts, and seating. By cutting a tenon to fit perfectly into a mortise pocket, we create a mechanical bond that outlasts any screw or bracket. It is the reason our dining tables remain rock-solid through decades of holiday gatherings.
Hand-Cut Dovetail Drawers
Open some Graeber Design drawers and you’ll see the hallmark of a master craftsman. As an add-on, our drawers can feature hand-cut dovetails, interlocking joints that are physically impossible to pull apart. This isn't just an aesthetic detail; it ensures that your traditional drawer construction will function flawlessly for generations, without the binding or failing common in household cabinetry.

The Process
Direct-to-Maker Collaboration
Consultation: Meet with William Graeber at our Edmond shop to discuss your vision, dimensions, and wood species (Walnut, White Oak, Mahogany, etc.).
Engineering: We provide a detailed design that accounts for Oklahoma’s humidity swings, ensuring your wood won't warp or crack.
The Build: Your piece is handcrafted using our signature techniques.
Delivery: We hand-deliver and install every piece throughout the OKC metro, Tulsa, and beyond.
